Itinerary La Garrotxa

Day 1: Arrival in Olot

Morning: Arrival and accommodation in Olot.

Afternoon: Short walk through Olot to familiarize yourself with the area and visit to the Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

Evening: Welcome dinner with tasting of volcanic cuisine.


Day 2: Bicycle route – Castellfollit de la Roca (35 km)

Morning: Bike ride to Castellfollit de la Roca, enjoying the volcanic landscapes and forests.

Afternoon: Visit to the town of Castellfollit with great tourist interest and charm. Later, walk over the Basalt cliffs.

Evening: Traditional dinner in Castellfollit.


Day 3: Walking tour – Croscat and Santa Margarida Volcanoes

Morning: Hiking to the Croscat and Santa Margarida volcanoes, discovering the volcanic geology and unique landscapes of the area.

Afternoon: Picnic in the Natural Park and relaxation in nature.

Evening: Dinner in a restaurant with a view of the volcanoes.

Day 4: Bicycle route – Fageda d'en Jordà and Santa Pau (40 km)

Morning: Bike ride through the Fageda d'en Jordà, a magical forest landscape.

Afternoon: Cultural visit to the medieval village of Santa Pau and tasting of local products.

Night: Rural accommodation in Santa Pau.

Day 5: Water activity – Paddle Surfing at Sau Reservoir

Morning: Transfer to the Sau Reservoir for a paddle surfing session in calm waters, surrounded by nature.

Afternoon: Free time to relax and explore the surroundings of the reservoir.

Evening: Return to La Garrotxa and dinner in a farmhouse.

Day 6: Bike route – Vall d'en Bas (45 km)

Morning: Bike tour through the Vall d'en Bas, with stops in towns such as Hostalets d'en Bas with some tourist interest.

Afternoon: Lunch in the valley with artisanal products and visit to a local cheese factory.

Night: Accommodation in a farmhouse in the valley.

Day 7: Adventure excursion – Canyoning or via ferrata

Morning:

  • Option 1: Canyoning in the Zone. (Barranc de les Basses, de la Gorga, depending on conditions).
  • Option 2: Via Ferrata. (Dues Coves or la Fodarada, depending on conditions).

Afternoon: Free time to rest or relaxing activity near Olot.

Evening: Farewell dinner in a volcanic cuisine restaurant


Day 8: Olot and departure

Morning: Short walk around Olot or visit the Olot Market to buy local products before the return transfer.

Afternoon: Return of the trip, return to Barcelona airport or departure point.
